Jessica Goralski, a 2015 graduate of Southington High School, was recently announced as the recipient of the Robert and Lauretta Hopko Merit Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating senior that had attended William Strong Elementary School where Lauretta Hopko worked as a paraprofessional for 27 years. A recipient must demonstrate academic excellence with acceptance into a four-year college program. Goralski, the daughter of Brian and Catharine Goralski, was involved in a number of extracurricular activities and community service events. She plans to attend Quinnipiac University in the Fall, with a major in physical therapy.
