Sr. Mary McCarthy, president of Mercy High School in Middletown, announced the names of the following seniors who received awards at the Baccalaureate Mass held in late May:
Megan Welch and Mikaela Shae were recognized as a senior member of the robotics team.
Kimberly Arnold earned the Connecticut Association of Schools Award.
Ava Coleman was honored with the Herff Jones Believe in You Scholarship and President’s Award, the Connecticut Association of Schools Award, and the Service to Mercy Award.
Victoria Fiore received the President’s Leadership Award, the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program Award, the Connecticut Association of Schools Award, the Service to Mercy Award, and was recognized as a Mercy scholar-athlete.
Haley Gagnon was recognized with the Doreen Dooley McCabe Scholarship, the Music Award for outstanding contribution in the performing arts, and the Connecticut Association of Schools Award.
Katherine Galvin earned the Connecticut Association of Schools Award and the President’s Education Award for outstanding academic achievement.
Megan Miller won the St. Aloysius Church John Blanchfield Scholarship, the St. Aloysius Ladies Guild Scholarship, the President’s Education Award for outstanding academic achievement, and the Connecticut Association of Schools Award.
Alyssa Morrissey was named as a Middletown Sports Hall of Fame scholar athlete and received the President’s Education Award for outstanding academic achievement, the Service to Mercy Award, and the Connecticut Association of Schools Award.
Emily Penta received the President’s Education Award for outstanding academic achievement and the Connecticut Association of Schools Award.
